Arlaine Rockey filed an Amici Curiae Brief in ERA Court Case
In June, 2020, Ms. Rockey filed an Amici Curiae (friends of the Court) Brief in this federal Equal Rights Amendment (“ERA”) court case when it was in the District Court in Boston, MA, against the Trump Administration, seeking to force the U.S. Archivist to officially add the ERA to the Constitution as the 28th Amendment, as he is legally mandated to do, since it was Ratified by 38 states as of 27 January 2020. On 20 July 2020, Ms. Rockey filed an Amended Brief of Amici Curaie to add additional Amici, now 69, representing millions of people all over the U.S. who want the ERA published in the U.S. Constitution as the 28th Amendment. The District Court dismissed the case, and EME appealed to the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals and then went straight up to the US Supreme Court! The EME case has been docketed by the Supreme Court (case #20-318).
